Installing chargers

You may be able to install a home charger even if you do not have off-street parking, if you:

You must contact your local planning authority before installing a home charging point. And you must meet the planning requirements before installation.

If you want to install a charger at a private or shared car park, you should speak to the owner of the site.

If you're a business, charity or public sector organisation you may be eligible for a grant. It would contribute to the up-front costs of a charge point. Find out more about the workplace charging scheme.
