How much would a licence cost?
The license cost is made up of two separate fees: the application fee and the grant fee. It will be payable in advance. Non-payment of the grant fee will result in an application being delayed.
Once we have set an area for selective licensing, landlords will have three months to get their licences. We aim to offer a discounted licence fee for landlords during that three month period.
We will need to know the outcome of the consultation and the consultation costs before we can finalise the license fee for this round of selective licensing. However you can see the current fee structures.
Income generated from licensing fees will be used to pay for the consultation process, administration, management and running of the scheme.
We do not make money from selective licensing schemes.
