Planning and regeneration Electric vehicle (EV) charging

Charging away from home

The Ancoats Mobility Hub provides resident and visitor parking for cars and bikes. It has more than 100 electric vehicle (EV) charging points. And is powered by rooftop photovoltaic panels and power generated by renewable energy.

Transport for Greater Manchester manage public electric vehicle (EV) charging points in Manchester. They're part of Greater Manchester's Be.EV network.

Travelling further afield? Zapmap lists all UK public charge points. Go to www.zap-map.com.

If you can charge at home, that's the most convenient option. If you don’t have a home charger, you may find it awkward to charge an EV. There are schemes that help neighbours to share home chargers. Put ‘EV community charging’ in a web search to find one near you.

Find out what we're doing to help to expand the public network.
