Residents’ permits
- These are free and available for every vehicle registered at an address in the scheme. The permit is issued for a specific vehicle and is not transferable. The permits are virtual and don’t need to be displayed in the vehicle.
Resident Visitors Permits
Residents are eligible for two free visitor permits.
- The registration details of the visitor’s vehicle can be entered online and changed as often as needed. The visitor’s permit is not solely for one vehicle.
- Residents are also eligible for one free book of 10 single use (one day) permits. These are to provide increased options for occasional visitors (such as tradespeople) and can be applied for online. You will need to mark the date on the card in ink and they must be clearly displayed in the visiting vehicle. A maximum of two more books each year can be purchased (price to be confirmed, currently £5 on other schemes). Applications for additional permits will be monitored.
Business permits
- These permits are intended for shops or businesses within the scheme area. The number of permits will be determined on a case-by-case basis. These are free for the first year and renewals are £45 thereafter. They also apply to landlords who own/let property in the scheme area. You will need to submit proof when applying for a permit.
Business Employees (including school staff)
- You can apply for a free business employee permit to enable them to continue to park for work as they do now, if they do so on-street. You’ll need to provide proof of employment at a business listed in the scheme area.
Business visitor permits
- These are available to enable visitors (for example, those attending meetings, or for landlords to give to contractors) to park on-street. The number of Business Visitor Permits available will be determined on a case-by-case basis. These are free for the first year and renewals are £45 thereafter.
