We do not take on extra staff for elections.
The delivery of elections in Manchester is a corporate priority for Manchester City Council. We use our own staff and colleagues from partner organisations to cover all the roles at polling stations and the count. This gives us greater accountability for those employed in key positions of the democratic process. It also helps us to deliver a welcoming and professional service for Manchester voters.
