Local Development Scheme (LDS)

Local Development Scheme 2025 - 2027

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) explains:

• what planning documents have been produced in Manchester; and
• what planning documents we intend to produce and when they will be ready.

It includes the expected dates that people in the community can get involved in the process.

Amendments made to the LDS 2024- 2026

We've updated the LDS, which now covers the period 2025 to 2027.  The previous LDS covered the period 2024 to 2026 and was updated in June 2024. 

To comply with section 15 (9A) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, the following is a copy of the amendments made to the LDS 2022-2025.

Summary of amendments:

Paragraph 2.7 added to explain that a review of the Greater Manchester Waste and Minerals Plans will be undertaken to determine whether an update to these plans may be required.
