Local Development Scheme (LDS)

Local Development Scheme 2024 - 2026

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) explains:

  • what planning documents have been produced in Manchester; and
  • what planning documents we intend to produce and when they will be ready.

It includes the expected dates that people in the community can get involved in the process.

Amendments made to the LDS 2022- 2025

We've updated the LDS, which now covers the period 2024 to 2026.  The previous LDS covered the period 2022 to 2025 and was updated in June 2022. 

To comply with section 15 (9A) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, the following is a copy of the amendments made to the LDS 2022-2025.

LDS 2024 to 2026 (June 2024)

Summary of amendments:

  1. LDS updated to reflect adoption of Places for Everyone Joint Development Plan (PfE) in March 2024
  2. Tables in section 2 referring to PfE have been removed
  3. Table 2.5 (now table 2.3) has been amended to reflect new organisational structure
  4. Amendments to milestones as shown below.
