Description of proposed variation as given by the applicant:
to approve an amended partial ground floor plan showing a lounge bar area adjacent to reception, which was previously a Foyer area and two meeting rooms. The Foyer area and meeting rooms were part of the licensed area of the hotel and therefore there is no overall increase in the area for consumption of alcohol. There is also no change to proposed licensable activities or times for the provision of licensable activities.
The application is also to seek approval to remove condition 5 of Annex 2 which requires notices to be displayed asking people to leave quietly. This condition is not appropriate to this hotel, as it is an airport hotel which does not have any local residents in proximity, therefore there will be no impact on the licensing objectives if this condition is removed.
No changes to licensed hours or activities are sought.
