Searching in person
You can make a manual search of the burial records at Manchester Archives and Local Studies. The archive is usually kept at Central Library.
The Archives and Local Studies section contains records on microfilm for:
- Gorton Cemetery 1900-1988
- Manchester General Cemetery 1837-1905
- Philips Park Cemetery 1866-1987
- Southern Cemetery 1879-2002
They also hold records from closed cemeteries and church burial registers.
