Consultations and surveys Mancunian Way Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

The Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) process, which is a legal consultation, will start on 17 July 2024 for 6 weeks.

Following the outcome of the consultation in December last year, The Council hereby give notice that they have made and will submit to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation the above named scheme, made under Sections 16 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980, which seeks to revoke  the 50mph on the Mancunian Way.

The length of motorway which extends from the junction with Chester Road roundabout (point X on the plan) in a general north-easterly direction to the junction with Downing Street Roundabout (point Y on the plan) is a distance of approximately 2010 yards.
