Manchester Mega Mela: Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July

Manchester Mega Mela is the largest Mela in the North of England – it has been established since 2003 and takes place annually. Music, dance, food and traditional arts and crafts bring the sights, sounds and spicy aromas of South Asia to Platt Fields Park. The Mela is a two day fun-filled event which has featured in the Sunday Times as part of their top 100 summer days out in 2017, been awarded Winner of the Festival of the Year award in 2017 and nominated for the prestigious Oracle Award and also UK Bhangra award in 2019.  For more information please visit their website Manchester Mega Mela

Tommy's Rainbow Race: Sunday 29 September

Staff of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Rainbow Clinics, are hosting a fun run for all families to come together and raise money to support the amazing work of Tommy's Manchester stillbirth research centre. You can run, walk, hop or skip around the 1km course. It’s suitable for prams and wheelchairs. Cakes and Tommy’s rainbow T-shirts, babygrows and muslins for sale.
