Manchester Mega Mela
Manchester Mega Mela is the largest Mela in the North of England – it has been established since 2003 and takes place annually.
Music, dance, food and traditional arts and crafts bring the sights, sounds and spicy aromas of South Asia to Platt Fields Park. The Mela is a two day fun-filled event. It has featured in the Sunday Times as part of their top 100 summer days out in 2017, was awarded Winner of the Festival of the Year award in 2017 and nominated for the prestigious Oracle Award and also UK Bhangra award in 2019.
