About this library
Gorton Library sits within Gorton Hub, the purpose built new learning, health and community hub on Hyde Road that opened in November 2022.
Gorton Library offers offers a modern and attractive designed interior, with a space-themed children’s library. That’s important because we know that being read to as a child gives you a head-start at school and a flying start in life. There's an strong emphasis on local history connecting Gorton with its past. We are a warm space and offer a weekly coffee morning for everyone. We offer free Internet and Free Wi-Fi, as well as an IT room for you to receive basic IT training. -

Age Friendly Hour
On Thursday, 10 to 11am is our Age Friendly hour when our older customers get priority support and a friendly welcome.
Coffee Morning
Come and have a cup of tea and a chat at our popular and friendly coffee morning. Thursday mornings at 10am until midday
Story Time
Story time for under 5s runs weekly during term time only. Thursday mornings 11am to 11:30am
