To operate a public weighbridge you require a certificate of competence issued by the Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures from us.

Processing and timescales
Within 5 working days of the application being received you will be contacted so that an appointment for the assessment of operator(s) can be arranged.
If the operator's successfully pass the competency tests a certificate will be issued within 5 working days of the date of the test.

Legislation
The operator's licence is limited to the type of weighbridge you will be expected to use. Should the weighbridge be replaced, a new certificate will be required. -
