    Cross on two tier plinth. Upper octagonal plinth mounted on square plinth which bears the names. Whole is enclosed within railings.

    Upper Plinth Side 1-To The Enduring /Memory of /those who Gave /their Lives /also those who fought/for God and Country/in the Great War / 1914-1919 Upper Plinth Side 4: To the memory and honour of all men and women of the British Armed Forces who laid down their lives in defence of this country Step-Precious is the blood that is shed in the cause of humanity Step-This memorial was erected by public subscription and was unveiled by the RT Hon Earl of Derby K.G Secretary of State for War MAY 25th 1923. Step-The site for this memorial was humbly presented by John Hulbert Junr ESQ Lower Plinth on each face- The following killed in action or died of wounds (Names)
