Tell us what you think about green spaces in Manchester

From 22 to 23 September, Manchester City Council and CyanLines will create temporary green spaces at five locations in the city centre as part of the Walk on the Wild Side project.

During this time, check which roads will be closed while the work is being carried out.

These spaces will give people more room to:

  • walk
  • meet friends and family
  • play
  • relax

The spaces will be designed for people, with less focus on traffic.

Why green spaces matter

Green spaces can help make Manchester a better place to live and visit. They can:

  • help cool built-up areas during hot weather
  • provide homes for wildlife
  • support health and wellbeing
  • create places for people to spend time together

Have your say

We want to hear your views on green spaces in Manchester.

Tell us:

  • what you think about the city's current green spaces
  • whether there are enough green spaces where you live, work or visit
  • if you would like to see more temporary green spaces
  • if you would like to see more permanent green spaces

Your feedback will help us understand what people value most about green spaces and how they could be improved in the future.
