In recent years, Deansgate has been the focus of several projects. All aiming to make the area a destination people want to visit, live and work in. One with clean air and safe, green spaces.
These projects were the result of a range of initiatives, including:
- Streets for All
- Active Travel Funding
- Providing more space to walk, wheel and cycle during the pandemic.
They also support the City Centre Transport Strategy. And our aim to be a zero-carbon city by 2038.
